Design for Charnu Winery
Charnu Winery is a boutique winery in St. Helena, CA, owned by Bob and Louise Dye. The goal was to create a site that would allow them to market their wine and interact with their customers.
The owners' produce Cabernet Sauvignon that is in the rich Napa Valley style yet that is still elegant. The overall site design needed to mirror the class and elegance of the product. In order to ensure consistency, I incorporated key elements of the Charnu label design in the site design.
Because some visitors would want additional reassurance on the quality of the wine, we decided to include significant details about the wine production and aging process.
The owners also wanted a blog that they could use to communicate with their customers. I designed a WordPress blog template that mirrors the overall site design but adds additional elements to support the requirements of a blog and to add visual interest.
